As Christmas is on its way the property market generally quiets down in December. AGT have been very active over the last week, letting 4 rooms in shared houses and 3 family homes.
We currently have 1 room available to rent in Milton Road, Fletton at £75 per week. All bills, wifi and TV license is included.
Please contact us if you wish to arrange a viewing or to discuss the room available.
We do have a studio coming available in January, in South Bretton, a short walk to Peterborough City Hospital. The room is furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of draws and bed side cabinet. It has a kitchen area with sink, 2 burner electric hob and fridge with freezer compartment. There is a private bathroom with this studio downstairs. This studio is £100 per week and includes all bills and Virgin Superfast Broadband. (No TV License as separate studio rooms, they need their own independently)

The best part of doing what we do is when we match great tenants with great landlords. Especially this time of year when families can just about move in and get settled into their new home for Christmas. A lot of our new tenants have had to move because their current landlords are selling the property they live in. This seems to be a theme revolving around Brexit, landlords selling because they are worried that house prices are going to go down and they don’t want to be in negative equity!
From the research we do, we will never really know what will happen, until it does. We do predict house prices to go down slightly, but we believe they will soon go back up. Unfortunately we also believe rents will rise again next year. The government are giving landlords a rough time and when the tenant fee ban comes into force next year, it will only increase rents to combat agents loss of income. We wrote to the government with our views on the tenant fee ban, which we believe should be capped at £100. There is a lot of work which goes into letting out a property and referencing does need to be paid for. However some agent fees are very expensive and this is why the government are banning all fees!
AGT doesn’t have a high street presence, meaning the money we save on office space is passed over to landlords and tenants, keeping our fees low but still able to offer a personalised, honest, friendly service.
Can AGT help you on finding your next tenant?
We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and we hope December isn’t too hectic.
